The Watching Eyes

A Poem by Inmate "CF"

I am always watching you

I see all and everything you do

I know the hidden secrets in your heart

And all the dreams you wish to start

I watch every single step you take

I know the exact moves you're about to make

I can see all the obstacles in your way

So I shine light into your darkest day

I wait when you stumble and fall

Because I know on me you will call

I smile when I hear you pray

And laugh at some of the things you say

I try to point you in the right direction

But you're difficult when it comes to correction

I watch you patiently and sometimes cry

Because you don't get why my Son had to die

I even watch quietly over you as you sleep

Because you are my precious keep

Every word I speak is true

Remember I will be watching you!
